JULIE GREBENAU, PCA
Professional Counselor Associate
Transitions can be frightening, but in that space, there is so much that can be witnessed. In the transitions, we have the capacity to make a different choice within the well-grooved patterns we’ve built during our lives. This is the space in which I like to work most with my clients. One of the benefits of diving into work in this way is that there is no specific way to be. You just show up exactly as you are, and we honor and listen to what parts of yourself arrive.
I May Be a Good Fit For:
-
Individuals who identify as neurodivergent (autism, ADHD) seeking understanding and support
-
Adults who are experiencing depression, feeling stuck, and/or living with chronic illness
-
Adjusting to a major life change or transition
-
Adults who identify as LGBTQ+ or in the polyamory/ENM community
-
Interested in incorporating creativity or spirituality into therapy
-
Looking for a therapist who is welcoming, consent-based, and flexible
What Therapy With Me May Feel Like
When we meet, we’ll go over specific points that have been impactful in your life and look at what brings you to therapy in this moment. If you are feeling stuck, I have endless combinations of tools and creativity that can help us find a new way to approach an issue.
My Approach
Through trauma-informed and human practice, my favorite part of therapy is holding space for you to discover who you are becoming without judgment or categorization. I utilize my training in family constellations (an experiential and powerful way of externalizing competing thoughts, feelings, and conflict), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and expressive arts therapy to reach layers beyond words with my clients.
A Little About Me
I support the chronically ill community by wearing a mask at all times outside my home. It is something I wear regularly, like pants. You are not required to wear a mask, but you are certainly welcome to.
